Governor Obaseki Approves Esan Enterprise Park to Boost Edo’s Industrial Growth

Edo State is set to enhance its industrial landscape with the approval of the Esan Enterprise Park, a 400-hectare industrial hub designed to strengthen the state’s economic and manufacturing capabilities.

The initiative is part of the state’s broader strategy to establish industrial parks and business clusters, as outlined by Kelvin Uwaibi, Managing Director of the Edo State Investment Promotion Office.

Edo currently hosts two operational industrial parks and is actively working to expand its offerings in response to growing investor interest in Edo Central and Edo North. One such project includes the development of a mechanic village in Auchi, showcasing the government’s commitment to attracting investments and fostering economic development.

Highlighting past successes, Uwaibi noted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed two years ago with a development partner, which culminated in a €3 million investment in Edo’s agricultural sector.

The Esan Enterprise Park will primarily rely on private sector contributions, with the state government inviting proposals and profiles from industry leaders and stakeholders. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their credentials to invest@edostate.gov.ng. This collaborative effort aims to leverage the expertise of Edo’s residents and supporters to ensure the park’s success.

According to Uwaibi, this project underscores Governor Obaseki’s forward-thinking vision for Edo State, marking a significant step toward industrial progress and economic diversification.
