Interswitch Achieves Global Standard with CMMI Level Three Certification

Interswitch, a leading Nigerian payments processing company, has attained Level Three certification on the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) framework. This recognition signifies that Interswitch has established a well-defined and consistent process for service delivery, aligning it with global standards in the payments industry. The milestone also makes Interswitch the first company in West Africa to achieve this level of appraisal, according to a company statement.

“This appraisal demonstrates Interswitch’s commitment to operational excellence and adherence to international best practices,” said Mitchell Elegbe, Group Managing Director of Interswitch.

The CMMI framework, developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, is designed to guide organizations in developing and improving processes that align with their business goals.

The framework includes a maturity scale ranging from Level One to Level Five.For Interswitch customers, the Level Three certification ensures several benefits, including:
