Innovest Afrika Launches Accelerator Program to Empower Nigerian Startups

Innovest Afrika, a Houston, Texas-based startup accelerator, has partnered with Techpoint Africa to launch Innovest Ignite Lagos, a six-week program designed to empower early-stage Nigerian startups.

The accelerator aims to provide founders with the mentorship, global networks, and funding they need to succeed. Ten selected startups will receive up to $20,000 in equity funding, along with access to a comprehensive curriculum delivered by seasoned industry experts and successful entrepreneurs.

“This program is designed to identify and support the most promising Nigerian startups,” says Femi Moito, Founder of Innovest Afrika. “We believe that by providing founders with the necessary tools and resources, we can empower them to build sustainable businesses that have a positive impact on society.”

Innovest Ignite Lagos emphasizes a holistic approach to startup development, focusing not only on financial support but also on mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to valuable resources. The program culminates in a demo day where founders will pitch their ventures to a curated audience of global investors and partners.

This initiative aligns with Innovest Afrika’s broader mission to accelerate the growth of 5,000 African-founded startups by 2030. By partnering with Techpoint Africa, a leading voice in the African tech ecosystem, Innovest Afrika aims to leverage its extensive network and industry expertise to empower the next generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs.
