Acquired by Flutterwave in 2021, Disha provided a valuable platform for content creators, influencers, artists, and designers to showcase their work, manage their online presence, and seamlessly process payments. However, the company has decided to pause operations to re-evaluate its current offerings and explore new avenues for growth within the creator economy.
During this temporary closure, Disha users will retain access to their accounts and stored data. However, the company strongly encourages users to migrate their content and data to alternative platforms such as Mainstack, Milkshake, and Linktree to ensure continued access to their work.
While Disha’s temporary closure may come as a disappointment to its user base, Flutterwave remains committed to supporting the growth of the creator economy in Africa. The company will leverage this period of reassessment to explore new and innovative ways to empower creators and unlock new opportunities within the digital landscape.
