Nigerian airline ValueJet has announced the launch of a new direct flight route between Lagos, Nigeria and Banjul, The Gambia, with operations scheduled to commence on May 15, 2025. The new route aims to enhance regional connectivity, stimulate tourism, and strengthen economic ties between the two West African nations.
According to the airline, flights from Lagos to Banjul will depart every Thursday and Sunday at 9:00 PM, arriving in Banjul at 11:30 PM. The return leg will depart Banjul at 12:30 AM on Mondays and Fridays, landing in Lagos by 5:00 AM. All flights will operate from the new terminal of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. This strategic route expansion marks a significant step in ValueJet’s broader plans to increase its footprint across West Africa, positioning the airline as a key player in regional air travel.
