Global Outsourcing Company Unveils $50 Million Facility to Generate 5,000 Jobs in Kenya

CCI Global, a leading outsourcing firm in Africa, has launched a state-of-the-art call center within Tatu City, Kenya’s expansive 5,000-acre Special Economic Zone. This five-storey facility, which represents a $50 million investment in Kenya’s business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, is set to provide over 5,000 job opportunities for Kenyans.

Additionally, the company announced plans for a second call center at the same location, which is expected to create another 5,000 positions. This facility marks CCI Global’s 17th international contact center, adding to its existing presence in countries like South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Ghana.

The center was officially inaugurated on May 10, 2024, by Kenyan President William S. Ruto during a three-day event. This new hub will support a variety of roles, including call center agents and managers, reinforcing Kenya’s reputation as a leading destination for international BPO operations in Africa.

With over $2 billion invested across the continent in the past 20 years, CCI Global continues to demonstrate its commitment to economic development. In Kenya alone, the company has funneled $150 million into projects since 2016, including this latest $50 million initiative.

Rishi Jatania, the CEO of CCI’s Kenyan operations, highlighted the company’s dedication to Kenya’s socioeconomic advancement, describing this milestone as pivotal in their mission to deliver world-class outsourcing services. He emphasized that the facility, supported by skilled management, advanced technology, global partnerships, and a supportive ecosystem, will enable Kenyan BPO workers to excel on the international stage.

CCI Global has also partnered with CareerBox Africa to equip unemployed youth, particularly women, with the digital skills needed for success in the BPO sector. Women also played a vital role during the construction phase, which featured contributions from Buildher, a non-profit organization that empowers underprivileged women in Kenya with certified construction training.

In line with Kenya’s sustainability goals, the call center will operate on 96% renewable energy, underscoring CCI Global’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
