Following the success of the Naijabrandchick (NBC) trade fair in Benin City, Edo State, earlier this year, the event organizers are taking the fair to the international stage, with the United Kingdom as the next destination.
Nelly Agbogu, the visionary behind the trade fair, has been promoting the upcoming event on her social media, highlighting that this fair will be the largest African-themed trade event in the UK.
The event, proudly supported by Wema Bank, is set to take place on the 17th and 18th of August, 2024, at the Peninsula Ballroom, Intercontinental 02 Hotel, located at 1 Waterview Drive, London, starting at 9 am.
More than 100 Nigerian vendors will showcase an array of African goods, from foods and beverages to fashion, hairstyles, and beauty products. There will also be business-oriented masterclasses for attendees.
The event organizers have partnered with Fez Delivery, a logistics company, and Bumpa, an e-commerce platform, to facilitate the trade fair’s activities.
One of the highlights of the event will be Wema Bank’s initiative to help Nigerian nationals in the UK with free Bank Verification Number (BVN) registration and discounted National Identification Number (NIN) services.
Additionally, there will be an after-party with performances from popular artists.
Although entry to the fair is free, attendees are encouraged to register online in advance. The dress code for the event is “Flamboyant African.”
