Ex-Interswitch, Microsoft Talent Develop AI Assistants For African Businesses

In Africa’s growing B2B sales ecosystem, where spreadsheets still dominate and traditional CRM tools fall short, a new entrant is challenging the status quo. Meet Revwit, an AI-driven sales assistant built specifically for African sales teams.

Founded by Chinedu Ossai, Dayo Adekanmbi, and Damilola Aluede—industry veterans with backgrounds at Interswitch, Bolt, Microsoft, and the London Stock Exchange Group, Revwit is designed to replace the clunky, Western-centric CRMs that don’t fit Africa’s business environment.

“If you’ve ever managed a B2B sales team here, you know the struggle,” says Chinedu Ossai, the company’s CEO. “Most tools simply weren’t designed for how we work or the challenges we face on this continent.”

Unlike other players, Revwit is engineered to streamline the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing deals without the need for technical know-how or costly consultants. While competitors like Gifty AI have entered the market, Revwit claims to be the only platform focused entirely on B2B sales in Africa.

Backed by Norrsken and Moses Sule (former VP at Flutterwave), Revwit is built on the founders’ firsthand experience. Ossai and Aluede, having closed over $10 million in B2B deals themselves, understand the gaps and inefficiencies that bog down African sales teams.

Revwit distinguishes itself with its simplicity and accessibility. The platform is lightweight, quick to set up, and locally priced—starting with the Nigerian naira, with plans to add Kenya’s KES, South Africa’s ZAR, and Ghana’s GHS. Users can connect their email accounts, and Revwit automatically imports contacts, calendar invites, and sales conversations, structuring them into a manageable sales pipeline.

Its AI capabilities enrich this data using a database of over 200 million global contacts and 20 million companies, helping teams focus on conversion rather than manual data entry. It also offers integrated, personalized bulk email outreach—allowing sales teams to scale engagement without losing relevance.

This level of automation—often only accessible through tools like Salesforce or Zoho has traditionally been out of reach for African businesses due to technical complexity and high costs. For instance, implementing Zoho locally may require consultants and weeks of setup.

Revwit’s early traction is compelling. Since launching its MVP in November 2024, over 200 startups and service firms across Africa, the U.S., and Canada have onboarded, collectively managing over $800 million in deals.

Clients like Placidcode and Woodcore have already seen results. “We used to rely on spreadsheets, but Revwit has transformed how we manage leads,” says Napa Onwusah, CEO of Placidcode. Nadine, Pre-Sales Manager at Woodcore, adds, “Now we have full visibility into our pipeline and better insights.”

For founders and revenue leaders, Revwit’s unified platform reduces tool overload, cuts customer acquisition costs, and gives more time back to teams. With compliance to both NDPR and GDPR, the platform also puts data privacy and security at the forefront.

But what truly sets Revwit apart is its origin. “We didn’t build Revwit because it sounded like a good idea,” explains co-founder Aluede. “We built it because we’ve been in the trenches. We know what sales teams need, and we’re giving them a tool that just works.”

The company is committed to continuous improvement, rolling out daily updates, expanding local currency support, and enhancing automation. The goal is clear: empower African sales teams with tools that are intuitive, affordable, and purpose-built for their context.
