FOUND Partners With Google and Oyo State Government to Train 20,000 Youths in Digital Skills

FOUND Africa Technology, in a trailblazing collaboration with Google and the Oyo State Government, has launched an ambitious initiative to equip 20,000 youths in the state with vital digital skills. This impactful program, led by Mr. Olajide Aboderin, CEO and Founder of FOUND Africa Technology, is set to span 24 months, offering participants essential tools to thrive in the digital economy.

The announcement was made during the unveiling of the ‘Workspace Happy Hour’ series, an event organized by FOUND Africa Technology in partnership with Cafe One in Ibadan. The gathering featured notable attendees, including Moshope Adebayo Akande, Senior Special Assistant on Information Communication Technology (ICT) to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

During an engaging media session, Mr. Olajide Aboderin emphasized the significance of this collaboration, noting that the initiative aligns with a shared goal to reduce unemployment through digital empowerment. He highlighted the project’s starting point in Oyo State, envisioning it as a launchpad for a nationwide transformation. Mr. Aboderin also shared his ambitious vision to position Ibadan, the state capital, as Africa’s next Silicon Valley, a hub for technological innovation and economic growth.

Through its partnership with Google, FOUND Africa Technology will utilize Google Workspace, a suite of powerful cloud-based tools designed to enhance productivity, collaboration, and communication. This strategic collaboration underscores FOUND’s dedication to leveraging advanced technologies to equip youths with the skills needed to succeed in today’s digital world.

In addition, FOUND Africa Technology is in active discussions with the Oyo State Government to expand the reach and impact of the program. The initiative is specifically designed to empower not only young individuals but also small and medium business owners by providing them with tools to improve productivity, streamline business operations, and drive economic growth.
