Nasara Foundation Names New CEO to Drive Women and Youth Empowerment

The Nasara Women Development Foundation, a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering women and youth, has announced the appointment of Hajiya Bilkisu Muhammad Nasir as its new Chief Executive Officer.

This appointment represents a major step forward for the foundation, which was founded two years ago by the First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris. Since its establishment, the organization has played a vital role in advocating for women’s rights and promoting education within the region.

Hajiya Bilkisu brings an impressive academic background to her new position, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations, as well as a Master’s degree in Peace, Conflict, and Strategic Studies from Nile University in Abuja. She is currently pursuing a PhD in the same field.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Hajiya Bilkisu stated, “It is a privilege to take on this responsibility at such a crucial time for the foundation. I am committed to introducing innovative approaches to address the evolving needs of our communities.” She highlighted her dedication to fostering self-sufficient communities that can drive their own development.

Board’s Confidence in the New Leadership
Alhaji Usman Abubakar, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, voiced strong support for the new CEO, emphasizing her strategic leadership skills and passion for community service. “Hajiya Bilkisu has a remarkable track record in driving impactful initiatives, and we are confident she will advance the foundation’s mission effectively,” he remarked.

In her role as CEO, she will oversee key areas such as program development, strategic partnerships, and fundraising efforts to broaden the organization’s reach while staying true to its core mission of empowering women and youth.

Prior to her appointment, Hajiya Bilkisu gained valuable experience in governance and peace-building through academic and community-focused projects. She is now set to lead the foundation’s efforts to develop sustainable programs that create lasting positive change for women and young people across the region.
