Nigerian B2B Platform Secures $15M to Boost Retail Operations and Expand Regionally

Omnibiz, a Lagos-based B2B e-commerce platform, is redefining retail distribution in Africa. By digitizing supply chains and connecting retailers to fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturers, Omnibiz has become a key player in the continent’s informal retail market.

Founded in 2019 by Deepanker Rustagi, the company operates an asset-light model, outsourcing warehousing to distributors and leveraging third-party logistics providers for deliveries.

Following a $3 million seed round last year, Omnibiz has expanded to 12 Nigerian cities and Ghana. The company’s primary focus lies in retaining retailer loyalty by offering competitive pricing, reliable product availability, and value-added services like working capital, store management, and inventory tracking through its MyStore app.

Omnibiz recently raised $15 million in pre-Series A funding ($5 million in equity and $10 million in debt) led by Timon Capital, with participation from Ventures Platform, Lofty Inc, and others. The funds will support plans to expand into new West African markets and grow its daily active retailer base from 3,000 to 10,000 within the next year.

With an annual GMV of $130 million, Omnibiz is solidifying its position as a trusted partner for retailers while addressing inefficiencies in Africa’s FMCG supplychain.
