SIAL Network to Embark on Trade Mission to Nigeria through Promosalons Partnership

Promosalons Nigeria, in collaboration with its French partner SIAL Network, has announced an upcoming trade mission aimed at fostering business collaborations within Nigeria’s dynamic market.

According to a statement issued on June 9, 2024, by Akin Akinbola, Managing Director/CEO of Promosalons Nigeria, Cameroon, and Gabon, the SIAL Network delegation will visit Nigeria from June 9 to June 11, 2024. The primary objective of the mission is to establish strategic partnerships with Nigerian businesses to promote innovation and growth within the food sector.

Promosalons Nigeria, a member of the French Embassy’s economic team, is headquartered in Paris and focuses on promoting French trade shows in international markets. “We are thrilled to host the SIAL Network team, which is renowned as the number one global food innovation network. This visit reflects our commitment to connecting Nigerian businesses with international opportunities,” Akinbola stated.

The delegation, led by Mr. Nicolas Trentesaux, Managing Director of SIAL Network in France, will introduce SIAL Network’s initiatives and services as a global partner supporting food business development and export. During their visit, they will engage with key Nigerian stakeholders and explore avenues to enhance food innovation and trade.

“This mission represents an exciting opportunity to strengthen ties between France and Nigeria, particularly in the food and export industries,” Akinbola added.

The SIAL Network team plans to hold discussions with several professional associations in Nigeria to understand the market landscape better and identify collaborative opportunities. Organizations scheduled to meet with the delegation include:

  • Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA)
  • Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC)
  • National Association of Supermarket Operators of Nigeria (NASON)
  • National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANT)
  • Restaurant and Food Services Proprietors Association of Nigeria (REFSPAN)
  • Nigerian Association of Cake and Sugar Craft Professionals (NACSP)
  • Balogun Business Association (BBA)
  • Association of Master Bakers & Caterers of Nigeria (AMBCN)

The visit will also serve to formally introduce SIAL Network’s role as a global leader in food innovation, offering tools and strategies to elevate food-related businesses and exports worldwide. With a focus on enhancing local and international trade ties, this initiative is set to provide Nigerian businesses with access to cutting-edge opportunities in the global food industry.

This trade mission underscores SIAL Network’s vision of inspiring food business innovation across borders and highlights the importance of partnerships in driving sustainable development in emerging markets like Nigeria.
